STRESS IN A BOTTLE

Overrun, stressed, exhausted, tired, grumpy, unhappy, unhealthy, breathing problems, unfit, a diet that would need to be put in the bin...

So many negative words that describe how a person can feel when they do not have a balance in life. Unfortunately almost every day I meet a person who has one or more of these symptoms, YES symptoms.

Feeling stressed or anxious is an illness that takes time to heal. Sometimes weeks sometimes months. Simplicity is key in overall life as well as healing. If you wake up every morning dreading the day ahead there is something not right in your current situation.

Let your mind be calm instead of crowding it with millions of thoughts every second. Did you know an average person has over 50 000 thoughts a day? Someone telling you to stop thinking won't really be as simple as we all think (no pun intended).

This positive emptiness comes from little things like writing your thoughts down or having a cup of tea without using your phone at the same time.

According to some sleep studies your brain processes not just what you've done during the day, but it can help you overcome some issues you might have had. Let's say you've experienced something that made you sad- your brain then helps you to process that sadness and you will feel better the next day, hence why the saying "is sleep on it and you will feel better".

I have an idea, read on...

Here is a little exercise to do:

Imagine yourself sitting by the beach and gathering the thoughts that make you unhappy, stressed or any other negative feeling you might have.

Then imagine writing them on a piece of paper

(you can physically write them down as well)

Keep going- Now roll the piece of paper you have and place it in a glass bottle.

Walk to the water and throw the bottle far in the blue waves.

Now, your Stress is in a bottle, let it sail away.

 HOW DID THIS EXERCISE FEEL?

Pretty good right?
